APS Invalidity Assessment Unit

The Australian Public Service Invalidity Assessment Unit is responsible for administering the medical provisions of the PSS and CSS legislation. The unit is responsible for investigations and decisions about:

• CSS entry medical requirements
• PSS Confidential Medical and Personal Statements (CMAPS)
• Additional Death and Invalidity Cover claims
• Invalidity retirement and pre-assessment payments
• Partial invalidity pensions (PIP)
• Revocations of Benefit Classification Certificate (BCC)
